Siphoning the (probably decade) old gasoline out of the Bajaab through the fuel line. Since I didn’t know how much was actually in the tank, I figured this would be smarter/safer than removing the drain on the bottom of the tank.

In the end only about a gallon and a half came out before it started sucking air. I tried to restart the siphon, but it wouldn’t pull any more out. I figure there’s probably another half gallon in the bottom of the tank, but I guess I’ll just dilute that with new gas. Surprisingly didn’t get any gunk or debris in the line, just varnishy smelling gas.

Also new fuel pump, it’s the only shiny thing in there, in the top right.

I'd drain the tank, I got a five gallon plastic gas can at Wally World or Menards or somewhere cheap a few years back because I had to remove a tank for a repair.  If it has been sitting that long I would worry about crap sitting in the tank that could gum up the works.

Short across the fuel pump relay pins to pump it out.
